Opening January 30th

This movie looks really cute but I can’t say that I want to see it in the theater. This is a movie that I’ll rent. Actually, I’m excited about renting it but pay for it? Uh…No.

OMG!! This movie looks so good! Wow. I think I might have to pay full price for this one! And that must say a lot cause spending $10 to see a movie is a lot for me.

Now I’m not a scary movie person, but I will say this movie looks pretty good. I just hope I haven’t seen the best parts in the trailer. I heard that it’s based on a 2003 Korean movie. Just hope it’s not like The Ring which sucked!!!

SAG Awards

And The Winners….The Same as Two Weeks Ago!

The Screen Actors Guild Awards were held last night in LA. Just one question, can we get an award show on the East Coast, please that’s not hosted by MTV? Thanks! Anyway, in the Motion Picture categories, there weren’t any surprises. Heck I though I had looked at the Golden Globe list. Here is the list from the SAG Awards:

Outstanding Performance by…

A Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture — The Dark Knight

A Male Actor in a Leading Role — Sean Penn (Milk)

A Female Actor in a Leading Role — Meryl Streep (Doubt)

A Male Actor in a Supporting Role — Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight)

A Female Actor in a Supporting Role — Kate Winslet (The Reader)

The Cast of a Motion Picture - Slumdog Millionaire

If the SAG Awards and the Golden Globe Awards are any indication who will win the Oscars, then this isn’t going to be an exciting year. As much as I want Viola Davis or Taraji P. Henson to win, I must say the odds aren’t looking good. Kate Winslet won at both award shows. I’m a little scared! I really want there to be a BIG upset at the Oscars. Something that everyone will be taking about for weeks! I’m waiting on them to except my application so that I can make that happen! LOL

What are your thoughts? Do you agree with the winners? Are you looking for a big upset at the Oscars?

The Prince & The Frog - Teaser Trailer

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about this movie. I have been waiting for Disney to finally make a movie with a black princess and now we have one who is African American! Wow. I really thought they would have made the princess from Africa and some where you would see Simba and Nala walk by in the background.

No matter, The Princess and the Frog hits theaters on Christmas Day, 2009 and I will be first in line! :)

I just hope all of the controversy is over about the movie. This movie is going to be too good for worlds. With the voices of Anika Noni Rose, Keith David, Jenifer Lewis, John Goodman and Oprah Winfrey, you know this movie is going to be off the chain! OMG!! As you can tell...I'm excited. :)

This is the teaser trailer. The full official trailer should be out soon. YEAH!!
Are you looking forward to this movie as much as I am?

Opening January 16th

Now I might not be the smartest person in the world but wouldn’t it make more since to release this movie on Friday, February 13th? The name of the movie is My Bloody Valentine. Duh!!

What are you thinking? Just another Jason rip off?

Something about older people falling in love is so sweet to me. Now this movie might be a big pile of crap, but I have to say that I do want to see it. Pay full price? Nope but for a few dollars, I’d spend an hour & ½ in the theater.

Are you looking forward to seeing this one or just wait until it comes on cable?

Can’t say that I’m a big Biggie fan, but I must admit I want to see this movie. If for no other reason but to see if it lives up to all of the hype!

As much as I LOVE Don Cheadle, I must say that I’ll wait until this comes on cable before I watch it. It looks cute, but I’ll save my money.

I love Kevin James! He is so funny!! I don’t know how great this movie is going to be, but with him in the lead role, it’s worth spending money to see it!

Opening January 9th

From what I see in this trailer, Bride Wars could be really cute. I love both Kate Hudson & Anne Hathaway. But too many times, these types of movie get too silly and collapse at the end. Hum..we'll have to see

Do you think the movie will be as cute as the trailer?

Is it a must see? Wait until DVD? Or Ready for Cable?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s always great to learn about someone or something that you have very little knowledge about. This movie looks like we could learn a lot.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Got to love Clint Eastwood! Many are saying this could be his best film ever. Hum…I’m not sure about that from the trailer, but I’m sure I’ll love it on DVD.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I love Morris Chestnut and Taraji P. Henson! I’m very excited to see these two working together. This movie could be really good if it doesn’t get to sappy at the end. TD Jakes’ last movie, Woman Thou Art Loose was really good so I have high hopes. Come on TD!
What do you think of this trailer? Are you going to run to the theaters?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

From the trailer, The Reader reminds me of a cross between Summer of ’42 and Miracle at St. Anna. There has been so much noise about this movie before I saw the first trailer that I have to see it. Pay full price? Huh…NO but I do want to see it before the Golden Globes so I guess I need to hurry up.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Can’t say that I’m running to see this one. I mean wow! You are being attacked by your unborn twin? It takes him 16 years to try and cross over? Interesting…NOT! This movie screams cable!
Are you ready to be scared? Or do you think it's another lame duck?
